Speaking Topics

Here are some example of past topics, though Kelly prefers to create a talk around your specific theme and needs for your event.

WORTHY (for adult women's conferences)

We tend to go through life evaluating ourselves and others according to a scale of worth. I’m not good enough. I’m not strong enough. I’m not cool enough. Nobody loves me. Our culture has bought into the lies of the world. This “culture of death” tells us that we are at the center of things, that my wants and desires are what are primary. Kelly will share the importance of being worthy and finding your true value in God. When we are confidant in who we are, we encourage others around us to live a life of dignity as daughters of the Father.

KEEP YOUR EYES ON THE PRIZE (for teens, young adults, & parents)

When entering any type of competition, we need to understand what we are competing for. For example, if I go into a soccer season without knowing that my goal is the playoffs, the games every week become monotonous and insignificant.

Paul states that in the race God calls us to run there is a prize to be won. It is essential that we as Christians understand what that prize is. Paul proclaimed, "To live is Christ" (Philippians 1:21). We must know that the ultimate prize is Christ Himself.

WINNING (for teens, young adults, & parents)

Based on the scripture, "Run so as to win" from 1 Cor 9:24, this presentation will inspire you to trust God, overcome your challenges, and find victory with Christ.

AIN'T NOTHING LIKE THE REAL THING (for teens, young adults, & parents)

Sin is only a pale imitation of the real good we seek. God wants to give us the real thing, while the devil only wants to lure us in with a counterfeit. Sin is tempting because it is desirable, but it never really "hits the spot." Only the real thing (God's love) can do that.

CONFRONTING THE CULTURE OF DEATH (for teens, young adults, & parents)

The Culture of Death is a culture of lies. It tells us that we are at the center of things, that my wants and desires are what are primary. This talk will inspire the audience to live out their Catholic Faith in its entirety. There will also be an opportunity for participants to recommit themselves to Christ.

THE REAL MADONNA (for teens, young adults, & parents)

How well do you know your mom? Growing up, I saw Mary as some old statue, or as sketch on a Christmas card. I prayed to Mary before my physics test or made reference of the last resort "Hail Mary" football pass. That's it. This presentation helps others develop a love for Mary and a deeper relationship with our Blessed Mother, while furthering her role in prayer.

ALIVE (for teens, young adults, & parents)

You are called to proclaim Christ, but it's hard! Kelly understands from her own experience what it's like to feel bored, zoned out from Church and to "put off" a relationship with Christ. Using real life experiences, funny stories and the Gospel message, teens will be challenged to grow in a deeper relationship with Christ, continue to practice their faith by going to Mass, and making the Sacrament of Penance a regular part of their lives.
